MAPTIS databases incur annual maintenance and access costs, previously covered mainly by Marshall Space Flight Center programs. Due to funding cuts, MAPTIS is implementing cost-sharing. Effective January 2026, all non-NASA users and NASA programs must pay based on the number of registered users. Accounts lacking a NASA Mission Directorate affiliation, a supported program, or direct payment (e.g., a Space Act Agreement) are under review and will be temporarily locked until payment is arranged.
